The Guwahati Press Club with support from IndianOil took a noble initiative distributing Infrared Thermal Scanners to all the major media houses of the State.

The step was taken as a precaution against the spread of the novel coronavirus amongst journalists and media personnel who are working as frontline workers, reporting from the most unsecured places.

The scanners were presented to representatives of the media houses including print, electric and web portals.

The Guwahati Press Club, on behalf of the entire media fraternity, expressed their gratitude to IndianOil for sponsoring the thermal scanners.

These thermal scanners are used to measure body temperature, as a means to detect symptoms of COVID-19.
