The Indian Railways has canceled all passenger trains till March 31 in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in order to curb people from traveling to contain the spread of the virus.

It is to be mentioned that passenger train services were already suspended for the Janata curfew on March 22. The authorities have now decided to extend the cancellation of trains till March 31.     

Speaking to Media, NFR PRO Jayanta Sarma said, “All passenger trains have been cancelled across India till March 31. However, freight services will continue to remain operational during this period.”
