A day after the government issued closure notice to educational institutes, State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the govt will take legal actions against those schools which remain open despite the order.
It is to be mentioned that allegedly a couple of schools within the city on Monday, March 16 remained open.
Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that “We will take legal action against schools which don’t follow the govt order,” said the minister.
It is to be mentioned that the govt of Assam had on March 15 declared all schools, colleges and universities closed till 29th March as a measure to combat coronavirus.
However, Sarma said that the Department of Education has also issued a directive that government teachers will pan out to different villages within the state to create awareness regarding personal hygiene.
