Five people were killed and leaving 26 others injured after a vehicle in which they were traveling met with an accident at Tangla in Assam.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of March 14 when the driver lost control and the vehicle hit a tree by the roadside.
Meanwhile, one person died on the spot while the other 4 including a school student died on the way to the hospital.
The victims were returning home with the bride after the wedding.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal mourned the deaths. He prayed for a speedy recovery of the injured.
