In an unexpected and horrific road accident that took place on the Rangia-Bhutan International Highway, at Kumarikata, a class six student of Don Bosco School, was killed by a speeding truck on Saturday, March 14.
The girl student was on her way to school when this horrific incident took place. Meanwhile it was noted that the truck number is BP 4BAO 548
After the incident, many students took to the streets in protest and blocked the highway for three hours, and have also blocked many vehicles from Bhutan along with Bhutanese ambulance service.
Reportedly higher officials and traffic personnel have reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
