The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the coronavirus outbreak, a worldwide pandemic.
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, “We have called every day for countries to require urgent and aggressive action.”
“We have rung the tocsin loud and clear,” he added.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump announced new measures to deal with the united states growing outbreak, including a Europe travel ban effective March 13.
What is a pandemic?
Declaring a pandemic has nothing to do with changes to the characteristics of a disease, but is instead related to concerns over its geographic spread. according to the world Health Organization, a pandemic is said when a new disease for which people don’t have immunity spreads round the world beyond expectations.
