Miscreants burnt down Islamic religious literature in Assam’s Baksa district.
The miscreants allegedly burnt 11 copies of the Quran and three copies of Hadith (record of sayings of the Prophet Muhammad).
The incident happened on the night of March 1, when the masjid’s cleric found the ashes of spiritual literature, inside the masjid on subsequent day.
Meanwhile, the Muslim community of the world demanded high level probe into the incident and stern action against the culprits.
