In a sensational incident, a policeman at Dhubri police reserve station was found during a pool of blood.
According to reports, the victim identified as Umesh Ch. Roy, a resident of Kachuakhana village, was serving as a constable.
It is to be mentioned that the body found near Golakganj Tinali with marks of bullet injuries has created a ruckus among the locals.
Meanwhile, police recovered one AK 47 rifle and 4 rounds of empty cartridges and live bullets from the deceased constable.
Speaking to media, Dhubri additional superintendent of police Hiranya Barman said the whole matter is under investigation and “It is just too soon to talk anything regarding the matter right now”.
