In an unlucky incident, a British traveller was found dead on board a luxury cruise liner Charaidew II at Nimatighat in Jorhat on January 31.
According to reports, the deceased recognized as Alastair Neil MacDonald and he is around 83-years-old and happened born in Newcastle, United Kingdom.
The information of the British countrywide were found out from the passport which was recovered from close to his dead body.
He was touring in a group of 24 person group from UK and the ship started its voyage from Guwahati on January 19.
Meanwhile, Jorhat Police said that Alastair was unwell and had obtained preliminary remedy at Garmur mini PHC in Majuli.
The administration is in touch with the British Consulate in New Delhi for preparations to take the frame to the UK.
