The Gauhati High Court has granted 4 weeks’ interim bail to National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-R) Chairman Ranjan Daimary to take part in the peace talks, scheduled to start from Saturday in New Delhi.

Daimary was serving life imprisonment in the 2008 serial bomb blasts case. His lawyer had filed a petition looking for his bail, following which, a bench of the Gauhati High Court granted him the four-week bail. The Assam government and Ministry of Home Affairs have also issued a ‘No Objection’ notice within the hobby of the peace process.

According to sources, Ranjan Daimary can be flown to New Delhi to enroll in his comrades and take part inside the peace talks. President of NDFB (S) faction, B.
